My Story

My journey into physiotherapy started with a personal challenge when I torn my ACL (one of the cruciate ligaments in your knee) which led to surgery and a long rehabilitation period. Going through the recovery process showed me just how powerful physiotherapy and strengthening exercises can be in helping people get back on their feet, both physically and mentally. That experience sparked my passion for helping others recover, move better, and feel stronger.

I went on to earn a first-class honours degree in physiotherapy at Glasgow Caledonian University and began immediately working in a private clinic, The Osteopaths, where I am currently still working. It was this experiences that opened my eyes to the influence of biomechanics, posture and form on both pain and performance. As well as this, I have also worked with various amateur and professional football and rugby teams including St Johnstone FC and Dragons RFC. I am currently in my 3rd season with Garnock RFC in our National 3 campaign, in this role.
Whilst guiding a player through his own ACL rehabilitation journey I realised the importance of combining both physiotherapy/rehabilitation techniques and personal training principles into his exercise regime. After 12 weeks of the typical physiotherapy approach he was ready to hit the gym and strengthen his knee - this mainly comes under a PTs remit. This is when I started to entertain the idea of becoming a PT as well... which I did!
I want to offer more than just injury recovery—to also help people build strength, improve fitness, and stay active for the long term. For me, physiotherapy and personal training go hand in hand. It’s not just about getting you moving again; it’s about helping you reach your full potential

My Missions

1. Getting Active
Getting people moving is at the heart of what I do. With inactivity linked to a range of health issues, including cardiovascular disease, obesity, and mental health challenges, I work with individuals of all ages—from young adults looking to build healthy habits to older clients wanting to stay active and age well.
My goal is to inspire and empower those who feel stuck in inactivity. Through personalised plans, I help clients take gradual, meaningful steps that build confidence, improve fitness, and elevate overall health and energy.
2. Injury Rehab
Injury recovery is a critical part of an athlete’s journey. I work closely with injured athletes to develop targeted rehabilitation programmes that prioritise recovery, reduce the risk of re-injury, and prepare them to return stronger than ever.

For many athletes, returning to the gym can feel overwhelming—not knowing what exercises to do or how much to lift to see meaningful progress without risking a setback.

This is where I come in. As a trained physiotherapist and personal trainer, I provide expert guidance on technique, form, and progressive strengthening. My approach ensures a safe and effective transition back to the gym, building the confidence and resilience needed to return to sport at peak performance.

3. Peak Performance
Taking athletic performance to the next level requires a strategic and focused approach. Whether it’s improving agility, enhancing endurance, or building power, I work with athletes to push their limits and achieve peak performance through evidence-based training methods.
By integrating physiotherapy principles with advanced training techniques, I ensure clients perform at their best while minimising the risk of injury.
It’s important that athletes train specifically to their sporting requirements—sprinters should train differently than rugby players, with a focus on explosive speed and power for sprinters, and strength, agility, and endurance for rugby players.
4. General Fitness
Whether it’s building muscle, improving strength, or enhancing overall fitness, I create tailored training plans designed to meet each client's unique needs and goals. By taking into account individual fitness levels, preferences, and any specific challenges, I develop a comprehensive approach that ensures progress is both effective and sustainable.
My focus is on building a strong foundation with functional exercises, progressive overload, and technique-based training to boost performance and confidence. Whether you're looking to sculpt your physique, increase muscle mass, or simply get fitter, I provide the guidance and support you need to achieve your goals with consistency and ease.
